On February 9, 2024, fourth- and second-year students of the School of International Business Communications (SIBC) and the School of International Economic Relations (SIER), along with their lecturer of Chinese and English, Nazarenko Varvara Yuryevna, attended the grand opening of the exhibition “The Clear Stream clears my heart.” The event was organized on the initiative of Yulia Aleksandrovna Shavruk, Dean of the School of International Business Communications, and Elena Aleksandrovna Malashenko, Head of the Department of English and Oriental Languages, as part of the “Country Studies” discipline and took place at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus. The event is timed to celebrate the New Year according to the Chinese lunar calendar.

More than 80 works from the collection of decorative and applied arts of the East (wooden, porcelain and bronze sculpture, costume elements, Chinese folk paintings and calligraphy) are exhibited at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus. The time range of the objects presented at the exhibition covers the period from the 17th till the 21st centuries.

A number of exhibits were brought to Belarus for the first time, including works by Chinese masters, donated to the museum in 2023 by the Chinese-European Cultural and Educational Center “Dunou”.

The students heard a welcoming speech from the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, Xie Xiaoyong, as well as congratulations on the Chinese Spring Festival.
