On March 22, 2022, the award ceremony for the winners of the Chinese Poetry Contest “The Language of Poetry: Through Time and Space” was held at BSEU.

The Poetry Contest, which has become a traditional event at our university, was held due to the activities of the Confucius Classroom of the Republican Institute of Sinology Named after Confucius of Belarusian State University in the educational institution “Belarus State Economic University”.

This is the second year when the event has been held remotely: all participants’ performances were pre-recorded on video. The participants of the competition were 2-4 year students of the faculties of international business communications and international economic relations of the Belarusian State Economic University, studying Chinese as a second foreign language.

The jury included the teachers of the Chinese language of the Department of English and Oriental Languages ​​of the Belarusian State Economic University: D.A. Karavko, A.S. Vasilevich, Zhang Hongshan.

The winners were selected in two categories: beginners and continuing learners of Chinese.

The winners in “the Beginners” category are:

1st place – Victoria Gurko (FIBC),

2nd place – Polyakova Anna (FIBC),

3rd place – Zemchenok Daria (FIER).

The winners in the category “the Continuing learners” are:

1st place – Voytyuk Polina (FIBC),

2nd place – Ulyana Pukhovskaya (FIBC),

3rd place – Darya Meleshko (FIBC).

All participants received memorable gifts, and the winners were awarded valuable prizes.
