Students and Teachers of BSEU Participated in the 8th Republican School of Young Sinologists 2025

On February 28, the Confucius Institute of Sinology at Belarusian State University hosted the international conference “School of Young Sinologists.” The 8th Republican School of Young Sinologists focused on priority areas of research on modern China and Belarus-China cooperation, featuring five sections:
• Political and socio-economic development of modern China;
• History of Belarus-China cooperation;
• Belarus-China trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation;
• Belarus-China cooperation in the humanitarian sphere;
• Chinese language in the Belarusian educational space.
Sinologists from the Department of English and Oriental Languages at the School of International Business Communications of the Belarus State Economic University presented their scientific research and developments related to teaching the Chinese language. Students, in turn, demonstrated their knowledge of the Chinese language and culture by delivering reports and presentations. Sinologists, as well as students from the School of International Business Communications and the School of International Economic Relations, were able to exchange personal experiences and knowledge, discuss current issues and challenges in the field of Sinology, and fully express their scientific interests.

The 8th Republican School of Young Sinologists became a significant event for everyone interested in China. It allowed participants to broaden their horizons, learn new things about Chinese culture and science, and establish contacts with foreign colleagues from other universities and research centers.

The participation of students and teachers from the Department of English and Oriental Languages at the School of International Business Communications of the Belarus State Economic University in the “School of Young Sinologists” conference facilitated the exchange of ideas within scientific research in the field of Sinology and strengthened international ties.
