On 19 March 2026, the written stage of the final round of the 9th Belarusian National Student Olympiad in the Chinese Language was held at the Republican Confucius Institute of Sinology (RCIS) at Belarusian State University. The Olympiad aims to enhance motivation for studying the Chinese language in the Republic of Belarus, identify talented students, and promote Chinese language and culture among young learners.

BSEU was represented by a team of 12 students from the 3rd and 4th years of study of the Faculty of International Business Communications, the Faculty of International Economic Relations, and the Faculty of Accounting and Economics. The team was supervised by Varvara Yuryevna Nazarenko, Lecturer of Chinese at the Department of English and Oriental Languages (Faculty of International Business Communications).

More than 100 of the best students from higher educational establishments across the Republic of Belarus who study Chinese, as well as participants of the Chinese language teacher training courses at RCIS BSU, took part in the final round. During the written stage, participants completed tasks in Chinese characters, vocabulary and grammar, as well as translation. The participants demonstrated a high level of foreign-language and sociocultural competence, strong teamwork skills, and optimism.
