From 1 to 24 December 2025, the Belarus State Economic University (BSEU) hosted the second economic translation contest “Eastern Dialogue”. The event brought together more than 60 participants. Alongside students of BSEU, the contest was attended by students of the Russian State Social University (RSSU) studying Chinese as a second or third foreign language.

As part of the contest, participants familiarized themselves with the specifics of translating texts in the field of economics and submitted their independently completed translations into Chinese or Russian for evaluation by the jury. Students competing in the “Beginner Level” category were assigned a text for translation from Chinese into Russian, while participants in the “Intermediate Level” category were offered a text for translation from Russian into Chinese.

The jury consisted of Chinese language lecturers from the Department of English and Oriental Languages at BSEU: V.Y. Nazarenko, T.A. Fomenok, O.N. Kudashova, K.A. Linevich, Zhang Hairong, Liu Hui, and Meng Jialiang.

The winners were determined in two categories: Beginner and Intermediate levels of Chinese language study.

Beginner Level winners:
1st place – A.D. Antonovich (BSEU) and A.V. Vashkova (BSEU);
2nd place – K.A. Laskovich (BSEU) and V.V. Volosiuk (BSEU);
3rd place – E.I. Sokobinzon (BSEU) and A.V. Sikorskaya (BSEU).

Intermediate Level winners:
1st place – E.V. Yakush (BSEU) and P.G. Ignatova (RSSU);
2nd place – V.K. Mironovich (BSEU) and E.O. Murina (BSEU);
3rd place – V.G. Dorokhina (BSEU) and A.A. Grinko (RSSU).
